Rabbit! Rabbit!

Rib Relays and good luck

Rabbit! Rabbit!

Ever heard the Rabbit! Rabbit!  superstition? The RIB Relays team has heard a few versions, but the general idea is that the first thing you say on the first day of the month should be Rabbit! Rabbit! And you’ll be rewarded with good luck for the whole month.

Silly, we know. But hey, it’s a new month and a new year, and who can’t use a little good luck? So we’re giving “Rabbit! Rabbit!” a try. We’re also going to be  crossing our fingers, knocking on wood, avoiding cracks in the sidewalk, throwing salt over our left shoulders, and eating twelve grapes as our clocks strike twelve.

Thank you so much for buying RIBU1C relays and other Functional Devices products from RibRelays.com, working with us, and reading our blog.  We’ll see you back here soon for an amazing 2013!

Happy New Year!

RIBMNLB Has New Features

RIBMNLB AHU Fan Safety Alarm CircuitFunctional Devices has added new features to the RIBMNLB AHU Fan Safety Alarm Circuit.

RIBMNLB, a 2.75˝ Track Mount AHU Fan Safety Alarm Circuit, combines relay logic to facilitate fan status, fan safety control, and damper actuator control.  It is intended for use in a circuit that will control fan start/stop and fan safety shut-down circuit. It monitors three critical inputs:

  • Low-limit freeze protection (to stop fan and remove power from damper actuator)
  • Static pressure (to monitor for hi/low pressure condition)
  • Smoke detector/fire alarm

New RIBMNLB features include:

  • DIP switch allows any input to be manually latched.
  • Inputs can be programmed either Normally Open or Normally Closed.
  • Dry contact output (10 Amp @ 277 Vac) added. Can be used for ‘direct interlock’ with another fan.

Visit RibRelays.com for more information and the easiest way to purchase the RIBMNLB, RIBMNLB-2, RIBMNLB-4 or RIBMNLB-6.

July 4th Trivia

Happy 4th of July!

We thought July 4th trivia would be a good way to kick off the holiday! Did you know…

July 4th became a legal federal holiday in 1941.

The Statue of Liberty holds a book in her left hand that says July 4, 1776.

John Hancock was the first person to sign the Declaration of Independence.

John Hancock was the only person to sign the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776 .

The first Independence Day was celebrate on July 8, 1776 in Philadelphia, PA. The Liberty Bell was rung from the tower of Pennsylvania State House to call people to come listen to the first public reading of the Declaration of Independence.

To protect the men who signed the Declaration of Independence, their names were initially kept private from the public. They would have been killed for treason if the US had not achieved independence from England.

It’s estimated that the US consumes 150 million hot dogs on the 4th of July. Many of those are eaten at an annual July 4th event: the Nathan’s Hot Dog Eating Contest in Coney Island.

RibRelays.com will be closed on July 4, 2012.

Have a very happy and safe 4th of July!
